SkillBoss Installation Guide

What is SkillBoss?

SkillBoss is a skills pack that extends Claude’s capabilities across multiple AI coding platforms. It adds advanced functionality through a collection of pre-built skills that can be installed into tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and more.

Prerequisites

Before installing SkillBoss, ensure you have:

At least 20 credits in your SkillBoss account
An AI coding platform (Claude Code recommended)
Access to your SkillBoss dashboard

Installation

Step 1: Download the Package

Log in to your SkillBoss dashboard
Click “Download skillboss.zip”
Save the ZIP file to your computer

Step 2: Choose an Installation Method

🚀 AI-Assisted Install (Recommended)

This is the fastest and easiest method.

Open your AI coding tool’s chat window (e.g., Claude Code)
Drag and drop skillboss.zip into the chat
Send the following message:

I've attached skillboss.zip. Please help me install the SkillBoss skills pack. Unzip and run install/install.sh -y to complete.

The AI will automatically unzip the package and install the skills.

📁 Manual Install (Backup Method)

Use this if the AI-assisted install fails.

Unzip skillboss.zip on your computer
Open your file manager:
- macOS: Finder
- Windows: File Explorer
Navigate to the skills directory:
- macOS: Press ⌘ + Shift + G and enter ~/.claude/skills/
- Windows: Navigate to %USERPROFILE%\.claude\skills\
Copy the skillboss folder into this directory
Restart your AI coding tool

Step 3: Verify Installation

After restarting your AI coding platform, confirm that SkillBoss skills are available. You should notice new capabilities when interacting with the AI.

Credits & Billing

Check your credit balance in the SkillBoss dashboard before installing
Each SkillBoss feature usage consumes credits
You can add more credits at any time through the dashboard

Troubleshooting

If installation fails:

Confirm you have 20+ credits available
Ensure the ZIP file downloaded completely
Try the manual installation method
Restart your AI coding tool after installation
Verify the skills directory exists and has proper permissions

Next Steps

Once installed, SkillBoss skills are immediately available in your AI coding sessions. Simply start working—your new capabilities will be automatically applied in conversations and coding workflows.
